I am not really understaning what your question is! Do you ask for the original source of the ENGLISH WORD "Godparents"?

Well, english derrived from German (saxon), Norwegian and French, and I don't think any of them would use the term "Godparents" in their languages.
I am german, we call that a "Pate". Either Patenonkel or Patentante, depending on gender. So, in german it is about "uncle" and "aunt", not "parent".

But I am not sure wether this was even your question. So please, just try again and express your thoughts a bit more clearly. Thanks.
