Why do people complain about questions that are "absurd" or "don't make sense"?

its a need to feel superior...they have yet to achieve that level of wisdom that allows them to see that as smart as we might think we are, there is someone smarter.<<=== When this person comes along and exposes your ignorance and absurdities, its embarrassing, and for most of us, humbling- thus enabling us to mature a little more...such is life

If they don't like the question, why do they bother to answer? They could go on and not answer it. Yet they do answer. Why? They take the extra time to answer, because they feel like complaining. They look for reasons to get offended so they have something to fight about. Can life really be that boring for some? YES. But yet there are those that disagree with the question, but are not intelligent enough to make a counter point so they result to insulting the question. Saying, "this is stupid" is a defense mechanism learned about in any basic psychology class. Over all, it is either, a person who is not intelligent enough to answer with any real point, or someone is just having a bad day. (mostly it is stupidity)

I kind of like the silly questions that dont make sense..they sort of relieve the tension between all the insanely serious or offensive questions.

I find some of them very entertaining. Yes, I have a hard time differentiating between the entertainment section and the religion section.

I think silly, absurd, ridiculous, even moronic questions are all right but I do hate mean spirited questions.

Some people just like to complain. They are crabby, cranky and critical. That seems to be their job.
