I have knows this guy for 3 months. I now play in a string quartet with him. I like him so much it makes my knees water. When I first met him, we just about asked each other out, but there was a hesitation there. Later, I found out he at least had a serious girlfriend when I met him. He went on a trip, and lately, he has been more open and friendly, and all the evidence is pointing to the idea that he likes me. I want to ask him out again, but I want to find out first what the status is on the girlfriend, because he's simply not giving me any information when I have asked him questions that simply approach at the issue. One of my string quartet members is willing to ask him next week for me if he has a girlfriend, but also, I could just come right out and do it, but I feel shy. Who should ask him? Obviously, he needs to be asked =)

if YOU are interested in him, YOU should be the one who asks him. Getting someone else involved is too complicated, too juvenile. If there's something you want, you should go for it & ask him yourself. See if you can't make time to talk with him somewhere quiet where you can be honest & open with him. He'll let you know what's goin on & where he is - then you can go from there. Don't poach if he's still got a g/f, tho. good luck - just do it!

I once got a friend to talk to a guy for me...FOR ME...the next week she was his new gf. Take my advice and talk to him yourself, never let another girl get closer to your object of affection that you are.
