It maight be true, because the fruit acid will energize the production of digesting enzymes . And this will accelerate the Digesting .
But you have to be very carefull because you shouldn't eat and drink too much of it . The fruit acid of a grapefruit is very high and can damage your stomache. It is also improtant that you eat something to fill your stomache before you are drinking or eating a grapefruit!!
Good luck,
J.Z

The grapefruit probably, the juice probably not unless its pure juice because juices contain many excess sugars and added contaminants for your body.

I read somewhere that it's not a proven fact but I am a living witness that it does. I was on a diet for 6 months called the Mayo clinic Diet and I lost 60 lbs. But it made me itch alot and my lips broke out from all that acid.

I know lots of people that have believed that and found it to be a lie. Proper diet and an active lifestyle is the only thing that will help you lose weight. There is no magic pill or food that will help.
