also, mom is not really cleaning them. she doesn't even really clean up their bathroom stuff anymore. she started to reject them last week which is why I have them up to kibble already. I don't want them to get sick or have any kind of stuff in their fur that will make them sick.

I just gave away 8 week puppies. When I gave them away....I bought the wipes. They are okay for puppies. I just cleaned them with that. they smelled good. I don't think you need to give them a bath at that age unless they got into something.

Try the wipes first.

But yes it is okay to them a bath. Just make sure they can't catch a chill. Dry them off good with a towel before you let them go play.

Mom must feel that it is time for the babies to leave the nest. And they will stop cleaning up after them when the pups start eating food.

it is perfectly ok to give them a gentle bath. just don't let them get chilled afterwards and dry them off well. Use a gentle puppy shampoo, or I used to use tearless baby shampoo on my yorkie when he was a baby.

At five weeks they should be starting to eat kibble and mom should be weaning them and not cleaning up after them any more.
I would not get them wet yet. I would brush out the biggest clumps of stuff but not get them wet yet.
They can not really regulate their body temperature yet and getting wet could make them sick.
I never bathe until they are at least 12 weeks old.

Yes, just use puppy shampoo on them. I have a 5 year old yorkie and I still use puppy shampoo on him because it's gentle and smells good.

Why do you feel the need to bathe them at such an early age?? Mom should still be bathing them.

Yes you can with a very mild soap, but DO NOT use any kind of flea control on them. keep them warm after.
