Being a criminal has nothing to do with immigration. Everybody makes mistakes. You can't tie criminal behaviour with immigration. If you say Americans break their law, it is their problem. As an immigrant from other countries, let us respect and follow the law of the country where we are immigrating. Immigrant (legal of illegal) has the higher obligation of respecting and following the country's law. The immigrants have to adapt to the culture, language and ways. And not the other way around.

Immigrants are not the problem. ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS or INVADERS are the problem.
All countries have criminals within their populations. That does not justify illegals coming into our country and committing crimes. The very first step they took into this country made them a criminal. Every step they took from that day forward was criminal activity.
American citizens are IMPRISONED for FRAUD!! Stealing SSN's is FRAUD, IDENTITY THEFT, ILLEGAL ON TOP OF ILLEGAL ENTRY.
American citizens are imprisoned for rape, child molestation, theft, murder. When an illegal comes here and commits those crimes he runs back across the border and MEXICO offers him PROTECTION!!
What USA CITIZENS do is the USA's concern!! NOTHING a citizen does is justification for an ILLEGAL INVADER to come here any time, for any reason, to do anything, no way , no how, AT ALL!!
C O M P R E N D E' !!!!!??????
peaches - Sweetie, the Mexicans have BUSINESSES set up near the BORDER to produce fraudulent, very realistic, social security cards, birth certificates, drivers licenses, green cards, visas, you name it. They can get them there or here in the USA from other criminal expert forgers within our own criminal citizens or other illegal invaders here. Don't think it's JUST the legal Americans doing it, though. Don't be so naive.

Your right, there are 300 million people in the USA and most crime and criminals in prison are committed by Americans, just like most drug users are Americans, and people here keeping blaming illegals (or according to racists, "Mexicans") Many people are just plain racist and don't like Mexicans. And as far as illegal immigrants taking advantage of benefit like welfare, I'm sure some do, but most don't. The ones here who say that illegal "Mexicans" are using welfare, probably are just repeating and parroting what they've heard from their parents or on hate talk radio. They probably don't know any Mexicans, cause they would know that nowadays it's almost impossible for an illegal to get on welfare.

Well here are some facts.... If you are a person from another country living here, working here, with out proper paper work from the USA government, YOU ARE A CRIMINAL!!!! There is no generalizations. They are not illegal aliens just illegal criminals as soon as they cross the boarder and stay here longer than 180 days... or go to work earning money here in the USA, they have broken the law. You don't have to be Mexican to be an illegal criminal. There is no generalization to this. It is a fact period.

No kidding, you mean we really have criminals here in the USA ?...Don't be naive,of course we have criminals that aren't illegal immigrants. But they know that when and if they are caught they must pay for their crimes. They will be tried and if convected put in prison or put to death. They are aware of the consequences of their criminal activity.
The illegal immigrate thinks he/she has the RIGHT to come here to this country illegally. He thinks he should get amnesty for his crime, not punishment.
That's the real issue its about the harm that the illegal does as opposed to any good he brings. So far the costs of his/her cheap labor are far out weighing the good.
Stop the employers, enforce the excising laws, against hiring the illegal.Make the people pay for hiring illegals and the employment will dry up and they will not come here looking for work.
No amnesty

You're right, there, but some 35-40% of the people in our nations' jails AND prisons are believed to be illegal aliens. Even if it's just 30%, the low estimate, 3 in 10, it's still worthy of considering reinforcing deportation legislation and improving immigration enforcement overall. By sorting out which ones come from what country, I think it'll make it easier for the police to do their jobs.
I think the border fence will do a lot of good in terms of making our streets safer, especially if they carry through with the other parts of this, cracking down on companies that hire a lot of illegals knowingly, passing city ordinances and state laws that
prevent people from just hanging out in our country and god only knows who they are, where they're from, what they're doing, etc.
It's a changed world from the early 1900's, 6.6 billion people out there...some people think immigration enforcement is harsh, others think it's years overdue...the law's the law, laws need to be enforced or they don't really mean much.
Read the news. Mexico's got Big Troubles. Unless you want Mexico's troubles to become america's troubles, let's have border and immigration enforcement. No severed heads in america for me, thanks...

Yes, there are Americans who commit crimes, and so are criminals.
But that doesn't change the fact that entering this country illegally is a crime, and so people who do so are also criminals.
Many people don't like illegal immigrants because they are criminals. And many people also don't like the other criminals you mention either.
Just because people dislike the crime of being an illegal immigrant doesn't mean they condone all other crimes.

Being criminal is not about your nationality or your immigration status, it is about your values. There are American citizens who are criminals too but I must admit lot of immigrants comit crimes and for those all immigrants are judged as bad people when lot of them came to US to work and live like decent people.
