To KEEP the weight off AND lose correctly? Maybe 1 or 2 pounds. It is hard to say. How much do you weigh now? How tall are you? Are you a guy or girl? There are many factors. I have seen men over 300 pounds and 6'5" tall lose almost 40 pounds in 2 weeks.
If you want to GAIN it back AND be unhealthy, you could possibly lose 3 to 5 pounds a week for the first two weeks, but after that it would taper back to about 1 pound per week.
This is because you are shocking your metabolism, and your body, after a few weeks of crash dieting, will try to compensate because your body will think there is an emergency...you are starving, and will automatically try to "rescue" you and keep you from losing so much weight.
You could possibly lose 5 pounds in one week, but not only would you gain it back, but you would gain extra weight as a result of your body's defense mechanism.

It's not healthy to lose a lot of weight really fast, and it's been shown that the faster you lose weight, the easier it is to gain it back in the future. A healthy weight loss is about 2-3 pounds a week. It's not best to lose much more than this a week because it means that you're probably not doing it by means of a healthy plan. Losing weight is about more than just dropping pounds fast, it's a lifestyle change. Exercise and start eating healthy and lose the pounds naturally for the best results.

It depends.
If you buy some of the crap about "lose two dress sizes in a week", not a lot.
If you do it properly and alter your lifestyle to incorporate healthy balanced foods and plenty of exercise and sleep, you could lose up to two pounds of fat a week.
It's far better to go by what your body fat % is though, since this is a far more accurate depiction that overall weight as it gives you an idea of the composition of your body mass, not just an overall idea - this way, you'll know whether you lost water weight, fat weight or muscle mass.

You should try to lose no more than 1 lbs. Dont listen to any one who tells you to aim for any more as they dont know what they are talking about! The best way to do it would be to drop 500kcals a day from your current eating/activity habits through both exercise and making the right food choices eg low fat. A big help would be to eat 5 smaller meals through out the day. with foods that are low GI go to http://www.glycemicindex.com/ for the best infomation. All you have to do click on database. Good luck

depends on your current height and build - if you are fairly overweight and carrying a lot of extra pounds - you can lose around 5 - 8 pounds in one week - most of which will be water content.
Be sensible and go slowly, aim for around 2 pounds

Usually up to 5 lbs. But, Not nearly as much as you will "gain back" when you finish "starving yourself" for a week, to lose that much!

if you lose more than 3 pounds it is probably water weight or muscle from a starvation diet.. healthily, you won't lose more than 1-3 pounds per week
