because...
from a logical point of view, something can be done at the wrong time, wrong place and it sets off a whole trigger of events which is...a forest fire...
for instance, if a forest is particularly dry, and there are lots of dead leaves and twigs about, naturally it wont take much at all to start a fire, in fact, in some desert areas, some of these dead materials ignite in just a little bit of wind, and because its part of a natural process within that natural ecosystem, some flowers only blossom when alight!
a camp fire is generally one that is made on an open space within a forest. you'd hardly go and camp on a pile of dead leaves and twigs and stick a tent on it as well (with no place to dig in the pegs) for one, itd be most uncomfortable and you risk being bitten or attacked by snakes or poisonous spiders or the likes. so you choose a nice open flat camping site to make your campfire at
