they mistake the laws of moses (ceremonial laws, circumcision, feasts) for God's Law. Moses' law is the shadow of things to come, this is the law that Christ nailed to the cross. i know what most of you are going to say, but paul also wrote Rom.3:31, 7:12

A question for you.... You call them Moses law..... who gave those laws to Moses? So ultimatley who is the author of those laws?

The sacrificial laws were a shadow of things to come. The shedding of blood pointed to the shedding of Christ's blood. That was the ultimate sacrifice. That is the "law" that was replaced or nailed to the cross.

I guess I am confused being a dumb christian. I was under the delusion that the Law as it stands today (intact in all it requirements) . is very important to the Church. It's purpose is to show how far from God we are and therefore our need for Christ to save us... This idea seems to fit so well with all parts of the Word that I was dumb enough to fall for it... Trouble is I'm dumb enough to stand my ground too.... Jim

Leaders and politicly affiliated preachers have done everything they could to make it complicated. Faith in God is siimple: it means you believe in God.

Vote for Joe Blow and be saved. Ya, right! They got people so confused with the complication, some idiots actually fall for just that.

Well, just look at them.

They believe in a nonsensical religion that is really a composite of stolen bits and pieces of OTHER peoples' religion, and call that the gospel truth.

No wonder they're confused.

I think dezmond got it right-just like the Israelites in the desert-they would rather someone else figure it out and just tell them. This is why we have so many cults and screwed up churches.
No one knows God, they only know what someone else said they heard.

Because religion is completely man-made and for the most part makes no sense, and can be proven false in almost every case by science.
