Absolutely. This can be verified by the many errors in the book. For instance, he spoke of horses in America around the same time Jesus was alive. Unfortunately poor Joseph didn't know his history. Horses were not here until the Spanish brought them over in the 1600's. Shame on you Joe.

About the horses,they were proven to have been extinct thousands of years before the Book of mormon Story.Climate change,over hunting,diseases introduced by asians crossing the bering straight.
They were reintroduced into the americas by the europeons.
No Joseph Smith translated the supposed plates by looking into a hat,and in this hat was a magical Seer stone.
