if i get a phone number from a girl, how long is too long to call and see what's up?

If I gave a guy my number I'd be delighted to hear from him the next day! We girls can keep up our hope for about a week until we give up. Don't draw it out that long though...two days is probably ideal!!

In my opinion it really doesn't matter, as long as you don't call a lot (by a lot I mean every day or every other day). Calling her the next day with something like ' I just wanted to say hi, and I hope you are having a great day.' and if she answers, keep it short and chatty. Ask her what she is up to and how the rest of her night turned out, and that is it! No more! maybe say something like 'we should set something up next weekend or something' Very simple, you are not asking her on a date or putting pressure on her too fast, you are just setting some roots in her over active brain. The important part of that is to waite 3-4 days before you try and make plans with her. Don't be pushy about it just be specific about when and put it out there. If she is busy, forget about it and waite 5 days. You don't want to have the attitude that you don't care when you see her as long as you do see her soon. That is a sign of weakness and a turn off. Keeping it specific shows that you are a busy guy and that is the only time you can fit her in. She should feel lucky to get a date with you, not obligated.
That formula is like gold!
She will stereotype you if you waite 5 days to call her, she will think you are playing games. Which you are, but so does every other guy and you want to set yourself apart.

when you get a girls phone you better call her right away....if she gave you her phone number is for some reason...........so dont take too long...................or she'll move on
