I love it when I have a slight curl or wave in my hair. The only problem is that it's nearly impossible to get a curl or even a wave in my hair. And when it does, the curl/wave "falls out" in less than 30 mins. Any advice on what could help?

I've tried perms, but they usually don't last more than 4 to 6 weeks. I'm out of ideas.

to get wavy or curly hair try this. it really works. i use tressamme which works really well. ok once you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair. then with the tressamme mousse, you put it all over your hair. make sure to flip it over your hair too so you get more body and volume to it. scrunch it up with your hands. once you are done with that part, add tressamme hairspray (aerosol can) and scrunch it up so more. and you're done. it lasts all day! it even lasts until the next day too.

It depends on the length of your hair as well as the style that its cut into! I find that hair that's cut into layers especially thinnish hair has more volume when cut into layers.Try this curl your hair in with curlers/rollers, add some moose or silicone on before applying the rollers/curlers. Then sit under the drier for and hour. Once done take the curlers off and run your fingers through the big curls. The other alternative is to have a perm done on your hair. Please just don't do it at home as it can be disastrous!!!

Your hair needs to be tamed! Seek professional help, and stick to a routine, such as every other week for a wash and style. She can show you how to maintain the look at home. Bring a picture of what you want your hair to look like, so she'll have an idea. I don't know how Master Cuts is where you live, but I go there for a cut. Don't be afraid to ask "Who cuts/curls/colors, etc. the best in the shop" or even ask people you see with great looking hair where they get it done and the name of their stylist!

A wig is actually not such a bad idea coz its sort of like a "in" thing these days, but what u can do is get the that hot curl thing , its almost lke that hair straightener thing, but they include an attachment for curls aswell and then gat a light HAIRSPRAY to put on after u have curled it. Otherwhise get the perm like u always do honey....curls are high maintenence...TRUST ME!!! Good luck!

Slight curls or waves in hair look nice, but long straight hair might look good on you too. The best hairstyles are the ones that suit your face best. Best way to find out what suits is to experiment a bit and be bold.

my advice would be to have a piggy back perm it's a special way of rolling that keeps the perm longer and I must add a perm should last 3 months or they should return your money. I was a hairstylist for 25 years.I hope this helps there is also a product you can get to liven up the perm after you wash it.

Isn't it just like us woman not to ever be happy with what we have to work with?!? When we have straight hair, we want curly hair... and when we have curly hair we want straight hair, LOL. Anyway... there are all sorts of hair products out that will bring out the natural wave in your hair. I would just experiment with some different products till you find what you like.

if you keep on using perms what it would happen is that your hair is not going to be neither curly or straight. What you could do is start using herbal essences :
1-body envy shampoo
2-body envy conditioner
3- body envy volumizing mousse: work work i thought wet hair
4- body envy weightless volumizing gel
5-body envy volumizing hair spray

Your like me I have super thick hair and its also straight. You could try talking to the person who cuts your hair because I only know as much as you do.

k, so when you curl your hair with a curling iron, spritz some hairspary on the curl, it will make it last longer.
