Never mind attacking the leg that you trapped. To strike it, you would need to relinquish control on it. Attack the leg he's standing on.

A good stomp right on top of the foot or ankle can break either or the two. A hard kick to the front of the knee and just above the kneecap will cripple him permanently.

But why would you pussyfoot around with a foot trap in the first place? The longer a fight goes, the slimmer one's odds of winning get.

I too would hesistant to try for a nerve strike or pressure point strike in a trap situation (any trap situation). Traps are simple moves to set up your next one. If you talking using a hold then a point, that would slightly different. But destroying them?

the perennial nerve near the hamstring, that's the best way if you trap an opponent's leg, you could strike other points on the knee, but the strike to the perennial should be sufficient enough to weaken an opponent to end the fight sooner because it''ll limit their balance and standing ability, not to mention their kicking efficacy.

If you trap a kick and have it held tight between your arm and side of your body, drop an elbow on their trapped leg or knee. Drop your weight while doing it to get much more force behind it than just using your elbow alone.

Pressure points are difficult to hit, especially when your opponent is resisting and moving around. Even when trapped, your opponent is not immobilized. It would be easier to break the knee, then your opponent can't stand and the fight is over.

if you trap a kick, wail on his supporting leg, you'll do far more damage than if you try some silly pressure point. Plus hes going to the mat for sure

aiming for pressure points is not a very practical way to fight.. it's possible, but you have to hit an extremly precise area on the body.. plus everyone's body is different which makes it even harder.. if you really want to defeat someone with a kick to the leg, just take out a knee and they'll go down..
