it does leave a certain film in ones mouth, but you'll really need to find out from the expert. personally it bothered my neighbors more when myself and my roommate had to have the tv up so loud in order to hear over our crunching thru our midnight trough of cap'n crunch.

Totally!

And...it rips up the roof of my mouth but it is quite addicting isn't it? Probably not an ounce of anything nutritious in it but it is the perfect junk cereal any time of the day.

Even eating it straight out of the box. Hey, eating it from the box isn't quite as greasy or oily though now that I think about it. Give it a whirl!

nodumgys has it right, the oil slick is lube for cotton mouth. i don't seem to get that oil slick so much on the peanut butter captain crunch, especially when accompanied by mountain dew, but then again i don't pay attention that much after late night trips to the garage.

yes it does! Crunch berries are my fav! I believe the partially hydrogenated oil may do that. Even though so many foods contain it, like bread, and they don't leave the oil slick...I'm guessing it just has lots of it...which is bad for you...enjoy?!

yeah, it leaves a bit of a greasy residue on the roof of my mouth that makes me have to go brush my mouth out! Good stuff though.

No , but it tears the crap out of the roof of my mouth, so I avoid the cereal, I love it too!

Yes, that's why I don't like it. It leaves a nasty greasy film in my mouth.

Yes it does and something about the texture always makes my tongue sore after I eat a bowl of it.
