Do I have to cut it or can I just do sumthing about it. oh and my hair even seems to be shorter thats how tight some of the curls got...its bad I tell you. PLEASE HELP. I want my signature look back. oh could it be this stupid heater we have in the house thats drying out my hair aswell? I need serious help people. I wanna do at home.

You know better than some random people what sorts of things have changed in your life recently that might have an impact on your hair. You could be experiencing effects from any of the following (or more than what I've listed):

1. Dehydration (your heater; not drinking enough water)
2. Change in hair care products
3. Consuming more diuretics (coffee, alcohol, etc)
4. Not consuming enough healthy oils (vegetable, olive, canola, etc)

Recently some soft drink company has been spreading a half-truth about fluid consumption and water absorbtion. They're saying drinking caffine drinks should count as water. This is a half-truth because there is water in the beverages, but a diuretic is a diuretic - you will lose the water those beverages contain because the other elements in the drink cause you to lose the water you supposedly gained. I learned this the hard way and noticed that replacing my water with caffine drinks has been disasterous for my diet. Gained back 5 pounds!! Grr!

Leave in conditioner and Hot Oil may help restore some of the Natural oils your hair has to make it look healthy. I think every year I go through the same thing. It looks strangly and not taken care of but it does pass after a week or two. I notice allot of it when the season's are changing and so is the weather. I would not cut it right away, but you have to do what makes you feel good about yourself!! Good Luck!!

You need to condition the heck out of your hair. What you really need to do is go to a salon that can deal with curly, kinky, or frizzy hair. You need a cholesterol and/or hot oil conditioning treatment. You also need to find a moisturizing treatment that you can put on your hair every night. Try one of the Optimum moisturizing creme products, or even a dab of baby oil. And remember to cover your hair at night so that it doesn't dry out. Try a satin scarf or satin bonnet.

Get some hot oil at you're local pharmacy. You can do it at home, but instead of leaving it on for a minute as the pack recommends, put it on (while sitting in a bath) and wrap it in a towel that has been in hot water, and is hot, for 10 minutes. Once the towel starts to cool, rinse it out.

Well, obviously to cut is the best move, because you'll start over, however, you can try using a hair mascara or - if you can stand it- get some avocados, wait till they go bad make a mascara(some say to mix it with mayonaisse, but it's not nesessary) and put it all over your head, wait a while and then wash it off. it really helps.

Remove the damage, apply a shampoo and conditioner that adds moisture. Then twice a week add a great hair dressing to scalp and hair and message it in. Wrap your hair up nightly before going to bed.
