Some of these answers are hilarious. I would hope its not an animal protecton thing else we should be making sure that all animals get consent from each other or bust them for rape. It is an attempt to make everyone conform to the moral standards of our culture.Whether or not the law should set moral standards or not is another question..

The United States was founded by a religious order the Puritans and we continue to be a religious country/nation.
Bestiality is illegal because of biblical teaching.
I am not sure if having sex with an animal bothers the animal I am not familiar with Zoology.
Killing them and eating animals is not in my opinion than having sex with them

If you're so keen on them, why not have sex with a camel. If you're a christian which i doubt, animal eating has been on since the old testament even it was specified on what animal to kill and what not to kill.
Stick to vegetarianism if you hate all the beef lovers and please change your sicko ways from tormenting the animals. This world has too much pervs.
