The Bank should give you a ball park figure on what they should be, based upon other homes of the same value in your neighborhood. You could Escrow them every month,(The tax payment is made with your house payment and set aside until they are due) which is easier on the pocket book rather than coming up with one lump sum twice a year.

If you have a mortgage, the mortgage company normally sets up an escrow account to pay property taxes and insurance. The cost of the account is added to your principle and interest to make your monthly payment. This should be listed in your closing documents. If an escrow account has not be set up, the local tax authority can tell you what your taxes will be and how to pay. They will probably send you a bill twice a year. If you don't know what agency collects property tax, call the county courthouse, they will know.

as long as your house is being escrowed with the aid of your own loan money then you particularly've no longer something to fret approximately. What takes place is that the tax assessors workplace will deliver a tax invoice to the owner besides because of the fact the lender and in the experience that your own loan is escrowed then the financial enterprise will immediately pay the invoice for you with the monies which you have tied into your escrow account. So your neighbor could ok be receiving a invoice which contains your unit yet bear in mind that the financial enterprise would be sending then a charge which will conceal your unit hence lowering the quantity of the excellent invoice that your neighbor has won.

You property tax is determined by the average value of homes in that neighborhood. You need to go to the City Hall of whatever township you'll be living in to get your property tax statement. I believe that since your home is new construction - it might be waived for this year (don't quote me , though). You need to get in touch with the Assessor's office in order to get all the details.
