Because we have forgotten to be happy on our own, and it is difficult to live without another person, even if they were wrong. It was still SOMEONE.
Because we were hurt by the person.
Because we have wasted valuable time trying to make that guy like us, when he never did to begin with.

For me it's mostly the hurt and anger I feel for wasting my time and investing my heart into someone who didn't deserve it. Crying cleanses you, it helps to release all that toxic pain so that you can heal and move on. Just don't let it get the best of you cause now that you got the jerk out of your life, you're open to finding the one that's right for you. Unfortunately the hurt is just a process we all have to go through. It will get better. Take care and good luck to you.

Because even with the "wrong" guy, there are some good qualities about them (usually).
So to greive the end of a relationship, you need to see the good and bad parts, grieve them and move on. It's how you recover.
That's why you get sad, because you grieve what was, or what might have been, or what you hoped for.

You opened your heart up and let someone in. Thats why, even if it was the wrong guy. You can't know what love truely is until you open your heart up to get hurt, and through trial and error you find that true love you want.

I cry because of how stupid I was NOT to have known he was wrong for me, and opening myself up to get hurt in the first place.

Isn't it crazy? I know exactly how you feel. The problem is we hate closure of any kind. I've had complete assholes as boyfriends, and a husband to boot....And when it was over I cried..why? Cause we hate when people leave us, no matter what the circumstance. The good news is, we endure it..
Soon we forget and learn to love again......Hopefully the right one the next time...

No matter if it is love, lust , or whatever anytime you put emotions into something and get hurt the pain is more like a teaching tool for next time.

Breaking up with the wrong guy is even worse becuase you have fooled yourself for that time you've been with him.
