Object lessons abound throughout creation, and they are for our learning. Here is a question I have asked earlier, some food for thought
What proofs do we have that Adam and Eve existed?
1.Jesus believed they existed.
2. The New Testament writers believed they existed.
3.They were made from earth materials and we need minerals in our diet to keep fit.
4. I don't believe evolution can produce a male and a female at the same time that fit together so perfectly physically, mentally, and emotionally.
5.Women have pain during childbirth. Part of the curse.

I think it's symbolic. Adam was made from dust to show his connection to the earth. Eve was created from Adam because she was the only woman to come from a man - but all men come from Eve. Eve was made of a rib - A rib is close to a man's heart (love) and a rib is under a man's arm - (protection). The man was to love and protect her.

God created man from nothing, he created woman from the rib of Adam as a symbol that she is part of him, Adam. It is a symbolic story, with the meaning not so hidden in it. That Man and woman were meant for each other in all things, body and soul. That they are part of each other when they become one in marriage. That is the meaning. Not to deep, simple, the audience that had to interpret this story was just that simple people.
God bless and keep up the search for truth.

It related to the saying "you are what you eat". We need nutrients that come from the ground such as minerals and vitamins that come from crops which grow in the ground. That is probably also why animals and trees were also made from the ground. It was only the woman, Eve, that was made from a rib. it was to show that man and woman (a type of man, wo-man) are cobeings not seperate as the animals.

you're incorrect! you may give up NOW! God used a rib of Adam to offer us the message that girls all of us is to be an equivalent to adult males. He did no longer take a bone from Adam's leg so women all of us is below guy or a collar bone to be better than guy. we are equivalent in partnership of a marriage which God performed for Adam and Eve. God visited them many situations alongside with Jesus and different angels to tutor them the gospel of God.

God did not NEED 'dust' and ribs.
He CHOSE 'dust' and ribs.
God is big on symbolism and the 'dust' (actually soil) emphasized that man was from the earth, meant for the earth and was supposed to live forever on the earth.
The symbolism of the rib?
Genesis 2:23.

First of all it is an obvious fact that god didn't make anything. If someone in this world believes that god made everything and god decides everything he is hopeless. The god(s) could be there. But they never make or decide. We have the control of our lives. God(s) can probably bless us but cannot do anything for us. The key to ones success is the combination of ones skills and determination. Not the god!!!

Actually, He breathed spirit into dirt, to give us a tent to dwell in while we are in this natural realm. So you could say that we existed and then He deposited us into our flesh. So yeah, He made all the stuff we see around us now, then put our real person ( our spirit man ) into the dirt so we could interact with His creation. You see He put us here to run things, to be His manager basically. Cause He is our dad, and He loves us.

that is such a good question I don't know the answer but how do we know he didn't use something else for everything else? Maybe there is something in the earth that is the missing element that scientists haven't with all there super brains realized. And maybe thats why they haven't been able to copy GOD. Just speculating.

I don't think He made everything else from nothing. I've always believed that he organized the universe with matter that already existed, there's really nothing that says otherwise in the scriptures.
