Because they are often portrayed as dumb on TV and Movies. But people can be stupid no matter what color their hair is, just they same way they can be smart. Besides there are a lot of smart blondes out there, Reese Witherspoon and Hilary Clinton to name a few.

Many people always say that blonds are just there for the beauty; and most don't have brains. You can be a blond and be the smartest person in the world, but you will be stereotyped because people might not know you.

It started n TV I think...the blonde always played the innocent bubble brain. It stuck...I let people believe what they want, I am blonde & have an IQ of 156. I leaves me with the upper hand & I have certainly used it to my advantage at times!

I'm guessing you are blonde.... and you just typed 'r dum' instead of 'are dumb'. And you typed 'y ppl' instead of 'why people'. That is pretty dumb in my opinion.

well (in tv/movies) blondes are ussually portraid as "hott" so they get advantages that "other people" dont get. so they dont have to work as hard (for example at school, because the teachers always let things slide for them) and that lack of work makes them dumb.... BUT THAT IS TOTALY NOT TRUE.

cause they are portrayed that way..
then you run into one and they are either too stuck up or just have no common sense what so ever..i am only generally speaking from my experience and about the barbie doll blondes...others that aren't barbie..are actually quite smart

stereotyping. remember kelly bundy, her character was dumb. i think it comes mostly from character stereotypes from movies and t.v.
