It's easier to say it with a p... I think it depends on regional accent though. My daughter's grandma is a through-and-through Manc and she pronounced bottle as 'bokkle'. Weird, huh?

I've never heard anyone say "vimp-toe" - I've always heard it pronounced in the correct; "vim-toe" :)

Good one, tried saying it without the p and its quite difficult, i always say vimp toe, going to try hard now and get it right. VIM-TOE

It's pure laziness and stupidity - the same as people saying 'ax' a question instead of 'ask'. While I'm in full rant mode it's just as obviously stupid as people who fail to pronounce 'th' and say 'f' instead. I fink they fink they sound hip and trendy if they do. Plonkers

I've never in my life heard anyone pronounce it with a P. Have one after they've drunk some, yes, but say it with one - no.
