Just copy and paste that into your browser. Is this too good to be true?

I really don't think it's too good to be true. The LX model is the plain Jane of Honda's. I used to have an EX Civic. It had a sunroof, a spoiler, and other stuff I can't remember. Also, it's a 2006 with over 26,000 miles on it. It's really been run around for a car that's so new. I think you're good. Good luck!!

I wouldn't say it is too good to be true. Appears to fall in line with how it should cost. It is the Civic which is the lower end Honda. If it was an Accord, then yes, it would be too good to be true. Go to Kelly Blue Book at www.kbb.com and see for yourself. If the vehicle was in excellent condition the "private party value" is $14,865. It goes down from there depending on the condition.

No, it's badly overpriced, actually. A dealer price on a private party sale.

The Kelly Blue Book value is closer to the mid $14k range. That's a lot of miles for an '06.

This is private seller rates
Excellent

Good
$14,330

Fair

Because this is a private seller this is a real deal but you need to offer less then what he is trying to sell it for
Excellent
$14,100

Good
$13,140

Fair
$11,380

This is trade in value
more then likely this gentlemen went to trade in the car and the dealership offered him some where around 13k for the car. I would offer him about 14k and see where that gets you

In between trade-in value and retail...if you were to buy it off of a lot, you would probably pay closer to the retail figure.
