A mother in Barrie, Ontario just killed her two daughters 1 and 3 years old.
I can understand post partum depression and baby blues.....as I have my own daughter and there are the GOOD days and there are BAD days but to go to that extreme? I can't even imagine.

People like taht just need help. I understand that some mothers get depressed but like you said there are good and bad days, but I have an opnion on what this women did but I just cannot say because I will be kicked off the internet so fast my head will spin , but I do believe that they should lock any parent that does something like this be locked up for life yet put them through what they put there child went through

There is also the "Andrea Yates Defense": Post partum Psychosis. Basically this is the extreme form of PPD. PPP is extremely rare and very difficult to diagnose. I don't like it because it can be used to defend women who killed all their children that happened to be home. That, to me, says she knew what she was doing. How can you kill your children and not realize what you were doing? That's total BS! I honestly believe that PPP is a real condition but I don't believe it's a valid murder defense.

This isn't post partum depression. This is called post partum psychosis. It's completely different. These women really need to see psychiatrists and be put on medication. It's really sad that this society is so misinformed on this disease and now those poor babies have to suffer.

you cant rationlize that. Post partum depression doesnt last a year. I hope she killed herself too.

I don't understand it at all. I have 3 beautiful little girls. I could never do anything to hurt them. Honestly, I don't think that there is any way to rationalize **** like that. I don't get how someone could do that to their kids. I love my kids more than anything in the world, they are my life. I don't understand how any mother couldn't feel that way. I hope that ***** burns in Hell.

Some people are just metally distrurbed. It is a terrible thing to happen but I think things this horrible really dont have a reasonable, logical explanation. Who could really put that into words?
