I got booted out of the Army after that Abu Graib stuff, and I'm looking for a new job. It sounds like what we did in the Army is nothing compared to what Christians used to do to people. When did torture and murder in the name of Christ get a bad name?

Today it's PearlyGater that's distancing "real" Christians from those evil Catholics. I'd really like to know when "real" Christians appeared! The ONLY Christians for more than 1500 years were Catholics. The book used was exactly the same book "real" Christians use today. Perhaps those "real" Christians appeared in Germany in the 1940's when they were silent during the Holocaust...

The Old Testament produced Jews.
The New Testament produced Christians.
The Koran produced Muslims.

We are all products of our religious teachings. Which book has produced the most violence?

Sweetheart, if you're talking about the Spanish Inquisition, that was not santioned by the church but started by the king of spain. Once the church heard about it (in a day long before phones and the internet or even newspapers) they put a stop to it. A real inquisition isn't about torture or murder. Ten bucks says you only know of the Spanish Inquisition. Did you know that there were four inquisitions in history, and only two were santioned by the chuch. Yep, those two were bloodless and the only thing that happened was the heretics were excommunicated and sent away.
