Loreal hot/straight in a pink bottle, very good for protecting the hair against heat damage and makes it really sleek and shiny.

I had this exact same problem. There are two products that I use that are absolutely wonderful...Matrix Sleek Look (Orange Bottles). The shampoo, conditioner and cream are amazing. Also Aveda makes a product called Hang Straight and it is the best! I still have to use a flat iron, Chi is the best, but these products cut the time down. It is best to get both products and switch between the two, this works well.

If your hair is thick and curly, I suggest you get a Japanese Ionic Straightening Treatment, which should be available at your local Japanese/Korean/Chinese hair salon.
The treatment might be a bit pricey, but it lasts for 6 months, during which time you won't be worried about your hair at all. Just wash and air dry - saves you a lot of time in the mornings. It's definitely worth it!

use some silk drops from paul mitchell. and don't waste your money on a chi. My hair dresser recomended a "ji;bere" straighner. I too have long wany (frizzy) hair and for the price of 1/2 inch chi I got a 2 inch jilbere that gets my hair smooth and shinny! it also has heat settings by the degree, so I can use it on my nieces who's hair is thinner than mine with out damaging it. Just make sure you stick to ceremics!

I've used a lot of hair irons and the best one I've ever used is the CHI Styling iron, it doesn't rip out my hair and it is versatile. I also love Paul Mitchell, Express Style, Quick Slip. It makes blow drying faster but also protects my hair when I straighten it so it's soft and silky.

Straight hair: a straightner, a shampoo against curly hair, and i wash my hair with cold water, that helps.

you might want to get it chemically straightened, then when you get out of the shower, use straightening gel (any brand really), and take a paddle brush to blow dry striahgt, flat iron and use light hair spray to hold
