No, it's a lie first proposed by the Gnostics and resurrected by The DaVinci Code.
If Jesus had been married, this would have been mentioned somewhere in the Bible. Instead, we read such passages as 1 Cor. 9:5, where Paul laments, "Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?" If Jesus was married, don't you think He'd be first on that list?
Also, if He was married, it would follow that there would be sex, right? However, Leviticus 15 tells us any man subject to the Old Covenant who has an "emission of semen" is ritually defiled for a period of time. The whole point of Jesus being a perfect sacrifice is that He never sinned and was never defiled. Therefore, He never violated the commands of Leviticus 15.
Peace.
EDIT: "Devorah" is incorrect. There has NEVER been such a prohibition. You can read an article on this from the Jerusalem Post: http://rabbiwein.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=860
To cut the facial hair is a violation of God's commandments regarding this matter. So obviously Jesus (and any other devout Jew) would have had a beard.
To "KEN": being married has NEVER been a requirement to be a Rabbi. Do a bit more research into this issue and you will be able to confirm this. Or, you could read this: http://www.askarabbi.com/questionresults.cfm?id=6793

Such a rumor is only blasphemous to the small minded.
Point : the gnostic gospels (many of which are earlier than the 4 official ones, and might indeed come from people who had first hand experience of Jesus' preaching or spoke personally to his disciples) do seem to grant that Mary of Magdala had a very close relationship with Jesus, at least as a favored student and member of his close retinue. Assertions that she was his "companion" or "wife" are open to interpretation. The fact that she was the first person to know of the resurrection certainly points to a special status.
Point: Jesus was a Jew of good family, even of aristocratic background, and pious. Under such circumstances, his reaching the age of 30 without ever being married is preposterous.
Point : the official sources tell us nothing about his marriage, wife, and possible children.
Conclusion : Jesus almost certainly married at some point. who his wife was, and what became of her, and why she is never mentioned are open to speculation. That Mary of Magdala might be a fair candidate for his wife's identity remains possible.

Jesus began his ministry at the age of 30. During his ministry he was referred to as "Rabbi". According to one source, only married men could have that title. Most people in those days would have been married by the age of 20, probably rather earlier. There is little in the Gospels to indicate either way. If you think about the careers of some other famous people there is generally little mention of their wives or husbands. Who he was married to, if he was married is unsaid but there is no particular reason to expect it was Magdalene.
Dan Brown was not the first to mention this idea, not by a very long way.

I am Jewish, therefore, no expert on the life of Jesus. However, I have something interesting to put before you. Jesus was, as I understand, a devout Jew. At that time, only married men were allowed to wear a beard. According to all the pictures that I have seen he had a beard. What does that say to you?

You're asking if a blasphemous rumour is true.
If its a blasphemous rumour then it can't be true.
Jesus never married.
He may have wanted to (we'll never know) however, he came for a purpose and focused on it.
The purpose?
John 18:37.
You've got to admire the man's devotion!

A woman is claiming to the be the direct descendant of Mary M. and Jesus, as a result of their relationship. She was interviewed in magazines and on TV, and she believes that there are many other descendants. Here is an article about her:

some are saying that in the painting of the last supper, the feminine looking character to Jesus' right is really his wife, Mary Magdeline. The bible was written by Man, Not God, and man will say (or write) whatever helps the story go in the direction he wants it to. espessialy those early "christian" preists . How many people did they Kill? wasn't it around 50,000, claiming they were "against God" Seems like it was Gods place to kill them, not theirs. I have Little respect for the Truly Blasphemus.

There are many different sects and religions that believe that. It's an ongoing religious debate. The Bible, I don't think, ever mentioned it. So I guess it's just a discussion that'll continue to be ongoing.

no, not at all! That isn't a "rumor", it's an attack on Jesus, and an attempt to bait Christians.
