My pomchi was healthy and so alert and active until I got a new puppy 3 days ago. My pomchi seems to have lost appetite, activeness, alertness, and feeling of love... Could my pomchi be depressed, or ill? If he is depressed what can I do about it? Thanks

probably just upset. he thinks he's being replaced. the new pup might just be waring him out or bothering him while he's eating. my new pup constantly attacks my older dog. jumping up biting her face pulling her tail. poor older dog is blind and cant run away fast enough. we can tell she doesnt like the new pup and acts like it when we bring the new pup over to play with her. she kinda pouts in the other room and doesnt come to sit with us

Your dog was perfectly happy as the only dog and now there is another dog who is getting part of the attention that was his alone.
Yes he is most likely depressed and upset.
It should pass with some time give them a month to adjust to the new living arangements and see how it goes.

they're probable basically playing, the pomchi (Pomeranian?) remains a puppy himself. youthful dogs do play extremely not uncomplicated and growling is portion of the game. besides a male dogs is not likely to kill a woman dogs ( that's a conceivable mate in a lengthy time period) till you favor to reproduce with them i might want to get the female spayed.

I think he's just not used to sharing your time and attention with another dog. He'll come around - you just need to make sure he knows he's still # 1 with you. You need to greet him first, pet him first, feed him first, etc. He's the one who's used to being an only dog, your new puppy won't mind because it's never been an only dog. He needs some time to adjust, but he'll be fine.
