The origin of my species could be a frog for all I care. Anything makes more sense than dust.

I'd contend that the frog is rather unlikely but that we probably share an ancestor with the frog.

Because I do not come from a monkey. If I was to say your mother was actaully a one legged zebra and your father was a pug and you were just the hybrid between the 2, wouldnt you get a little offended b/c you know that is not your origin. Why do people who are against creationism always feel the need to push creationist buttons?

Because our human ego can't fathom that our consciousness is not some high-end goal and fulfillment of some divine or universal purpose. We elevate our attributes (consciousness, cognitive functioning, etc.) to such a degree that we (whether we're religious or not) think it's preposterous to suggest that all of what we are is not anything greater than anything else. A frog developed in its own way in a way that was advantageous for its environment. Our species did, too, with consciousness and cognitive functioning the result of things that were advantageous for our environment.

"Anything makes more sense than dust?"
What do you have against dust?
BTW Its not dust .....its soil.
Stop limiting yourself to the King James Version.
Creationists do not act as one. They do not ALL get insulted when someone refers to a monkey as their ancestor.
However, you may perceive a degree of disbelief on some creationist's faces when the idea is presented.
Why?
Because if it were true then, we should be in a cage at the zoo, with monkeys paying to visit us.

Which creationist is offended? we'd could have self belief interior the monkey-guy fairytale first, formerly we could be offended. All ideals say we got here from airborne dirt and dirt, so a techniques as i understand, which incorporates evolutionists, so which you're incorrect in that area.

Creationists are dogmatic, however hard they try to appear reasonable. So you cannot (and should not) try to convince anyone whose beliefs have been deeplpy hardwired, because it is simply a futile fight.

In short, you may never reconcile DOGMATIC with SCIENTIFIC. Two very different things.

Let Creationists live in their world of fantasy. Or get them to read this.....

Because creationists don't believe they come from a monkey. They believe that they were created by a higher form-- God.

Actually, monkeys are kind of cute. It could be worse, what if our closest relatives were jackasses? :-)
