Even though I am not a Muslim, I have studied and respect the faith. Mulsims, Are you angry that Extremist have made your faith look horrible? The true Islamic faith teaches, faith, peace, tolerance and respect for women. Why do you let these extremist, power hungry false prophets take over your faith?

I am Muslim and I do not agree with the extremist...or their actions...but what people see on television is what they believe...media repeats one thing over and over again trying to prove we are this or that...thats a few people that beleive that...and how can we stop them...fly over there and what?
If our president cant do jack...what makes you think we can...just because we dont say how horrible it is and make signs and drive around...doesnt make us support them either...
Why dont the Cathloics say anything to the Pope or the priests that molest the alter boys? Does that mean you agree with that? I should hope not...
Islam means Peace...its states in the Quran that we dont show force to spread the word of Islam...every religion has followers that take things to the extreme. What about Waco, Texas where he thought he was Jesus...did we call all Christans bad because of that NOPE!
We beleive what we are fed to believe...we believe things cuz its easy...of course Muslims are protrayed as bad people because thats what Bush wants...and although most Americans dont believe that they dont want to challange it...cuz its just easier to go with the flow...
This country used to be the best place to live because of the freedom...the idea of the melting pot...what happend to that...?

You know what? If you opened your eyes you would see how often Muslims around the world denounce terrorism.
The problem is its not sensational enough for American media to talk about it.
How boring, 40k Muslims in the US literally standing up and denouncing terrorism. Let's put a former-"Muslim" lesbian that bashes Islam on instead.
It has become AN INDUSTRY to bash Islam. Write a book and it will become a best-seller. There is an ideological war against Islam and no one is seeing it (look at some peoples answers).
I know I'm not an extremist, not a terrorist. But I don't need to prove that to you. When you talk to black people must you say "I'm not racist" because of the actions of your ancestors and your current brethern?
I will not be apologetic for my beliefs! If you think my religion is violent, then you need to go back to school.

The way I look at this question is, that if you do not denounce what the extremists are doing, then you agree with what they are doing and saying(exception for the Muslims that are living amongst the extremists). Do not blame this on the western media because al jazeer is doing the same as what you say the western media is doing. Another thing to the ones who think that the U.S. is so bad, and think that we are the terrorists, who is the ones that are going around slicing,(like you would slice of a piece of meat) innocent people's heads off, not us. the religion of peace, doesn't seem so peaceful to me

Yes off course it deos not do well for the image of Islam, but who are the extremists and who are trying to protect their land, and who are the ones butchering innocent civilians like Bush, couldnt he be classified as an extremist as well?

Khalsaji, U r right in principle.But the theory of Islam= peace has remained only on the pages of books. Recent extremest acts worldwide by Muslim Jehadis have tarnished the image of Islam.They r in danger of being isolated from Modern society .Alas, so sad.

I am not Muslim either, but this is a GREAT question! I look forward to seeing the answers. Hopefully there will be answers from the Muslim population and not just rude comments like the first answer you received. Although the bottom portion of his statement is true, Muslim's suck wasn't needed.

Ofcourse yes , we are angry , but it is not only extrimests who made it look horrible , I watch the wetren media and specially the american media and they play a great role doing that , I think that is to protect their interests in the middle east and tell the people justified reasons why they are doing this to us

Muslims suck.
If not, why do you never see muslims say anything negative about the extremists, but you very often see masses protesting against the US or against some tiny event like a cartoon or an unimportant thing the pope said.
