i have win XP OS is correpted after i took the backup the MSsql folder from the root after that i format the system and instal win 2000 os and instal mssql now i want to add all my database in to the sql how can i do i tryed copy the data folder it will not work. please help me.

restoring ms sql is not as easy as copy paste you will need to back it up 1st, using the backup function in ms sql and restore them using the restore function

bypass to sq. Server administration Studio > merchandise Explorer( Press F8) > connect with the sq. Server Engine specifying sq. Server IP/call> enhance Databases> equipment Databases> proper click on carry close > initiatives> restoration right here, specify the Backup record course call and choose the area of the Database files to stay ( the .Mdf & .Ldf files). submit us again, once you've considered any complications or blunders.... -- In 'recommendations'... If you don't have SQL backup, try DETACH and ATTACH DATABASE.
