Even JEDI know that politicians are corrupt.
It's obvious, that's why. If you live in the US, just look at any and all of your voting options. Politicians now work for big business, not the people. Any option, plan, law, or politician you can vote on, is just a decision on who gets more money.
Also past politicians being proven corrupt helps people to see this.

1992 House bank scandal, 30% of the house were bouncing checks worth more than a $1,000 each without having to repay the debt. 4 democrats went to jail.
House Post Office Scandal, 2 Democrats were pilfering the House Post Office, trading postage stamps for cash. They went to jail for mail fraud.
Abscam, 6 Democrats 1 Republican accepting bribes
Keating 5, caught 4 Democrats and 1 Republican bribes
Korea Gate, 100 members of congress (R and D) accepting money under the table. only 1 Democrat went to jail.
Abramoff, Funneled 3.1 million into the Into the pockets of Democrats and 4.3 million into Republican pockets. Rep. Bob Ney ( R-Ohio) will be the fall guy for this one. De Lay (R-TX) steps down. This time the Democrats could say, "we are only 60% as corrupt as Republicans." Who took this money? Everyone, name your favorite politician R or D.
These are just the scandals. The individual criminal politicians going to jail is a list that would go on for pages and they are both R, I, and D.
How about sex scandals?
Dan Crane -R, Gerry Studds-D, Bob Packwood-R, Mel Reynolds D, Clifton Hinson- R, Condit-D, and now Foley -R just to name a few.

Because seeing is believing! Today's Indians are the worst sufferers in view of corruption rampant in every walk of life. Corruption has been sponsored and encouraged by our politicians ever since independence. It is because of such politicians that it has become difficult for honest persons to live and survive with dignity either in Govt. jobs or in any independent profession. Who else but the sufferers will know better?

Have you ever seen a news story that starts out 200 million people got home safely tonight?
Of course not, we hear only about the ones who got killed in an accident, and the freakier the accident the more we are liable to hear about it.
Same thing with politicians, city, town, state, there are very many who aren't corrupt, but when they are, since they have both position and power, when they are caught they are in the news for years till the trial and jail terms are over.

There have been a multitude of examples to lead people to believe that ALL politicians are corrupt.
I don't believe that. I listened yesterday to Gerrard Kennedy who is competing to be the Liberal leader ...and future Prime Minister of Canada. I have the utmost belief in his integrity and still believe that there are more out there like him.
Politics is a dirty business. People with integrity have to make compromises and difficult decisions constantly. The lose their moral compass in an environment rife with favours and payoffs. Sad, sad. But the "people" must start seeing politicians as human and stop revering them and start being critical and involved.

Why would a Political animal spend $230 Million dollars to win the position that pays $423 thousand a year?
Why would Democrats hold the Clintons in such high regards when Slick Willie was Impeached?

If you go two generation back of any politician you will find his fore fathers were ordinary people with ordinary income .This being so how the third generation suddenly becomes rich without any honest work?
