What is ur problem with Islam ? Plz read the details before answering?

For non-muslims who dislislike Islam , why ?
IF IT WAS FOR TERRORISM
be sure that islam is the most peaceful religion on Earth , people who act in its name are not always tru so don't just generalize rules. Muslims only fight when somebody attacks them and nowadays we are under attack all the time.
IF IT WAS FOR HIJAB
I am a Muslim girl and I wear hijab I love it very much and I think it protects me and gives me more respect . I feel that I am not on show for every body to look at me I am precious and not for every one to enjoy looking at my body . Viels are not obligatory in Islam , I can do it only If I wish to .

The rules of Islam are very considering and caring for the society and specially the poor , we are ordered to take care of them and never despise them or hurt them. We are ordered to be loving , caring , peaceful , eager for knowledge and science , is that bad ?
I've read very painful words here about muslim women and I just wondered : WHY ? What did we do to u ?

Somebody was asking about beating wives in Islam : Men are not allowed to beat women in Islam , Prophet Mohammed never hit a woman , if a wife is not obeing her husband in something very critical and she is disobeing sth that God has said and doing sth unaccepted in Islam , first he should ask her not to do that , if she doesn't obey he can stop sharing the same bed with her , still not obeing he can hit her but in the wy a father hits his own son , not allawed to cause any slight harm to her body , still not obeing he prevents her from leaving the house .
Even that type of hitting is allawed under very very critical conditions and not for all situations of disagreement

Muslim women are educated in most countries, i am educated my mother is a doctor and my aunt is a teacher , there is nothing in Islam agains eductaion of women but on the contrary we believe so much in that , it is just that many Islamic countries are poor and haven't got enough resources

i respect your faith ..but the world like any single human being see the bad qualities of someone or something. the islam extremists give a bad name to islam and the true islamists. there's one thing however you mentioned lil bit incorectly bout islam being the most peaceful religion on earth. now i know it might sound strange but buddhisim is the most peaceful religion on earth...i like the fact how muslims devote themselves to islam and you wearing Hijab, alot of women don't want this and think it old fashioned but i think it would show they Dont' have a lot of respect for themselves..i just wish all religions could live in peace some day..and i don't think fighting back is the best way to resolve things like Jesus said "if your enemy strikes you on your left cheek, turn around and offer your right one" even Mahatma Ghandi resolved most of the problems by bein peaceful even when the british hit the peaceful protesters.

i'm asian, and i understand the discrimination and misunderstanding that you face (especially now that n. korea is playing with nuclear weapons)i think it is a combination of a lot of things. i think it pertains to a lot of ignorance (whether by choice or not) and a lot of misinformation from the media and the US government.

i believe it is also the americans way of picking a target and using that target to vent their anger. what happened on 9/11 justifies people anger, but that anger is focused at the wrong thing. i know islam is not terrorism, and a i know osama is not islam. islam is an easy target for the US because it is not understood, not in the people's everyday lives to comprehend. compare it to timothy mcveigh and the oklahoma city bombings. a US citizen, white guy who blew up an entire building. you didn't see the US wage a war or racially profile against US citizen, white, mid western people. islam is a scapegoat, the fall guy, and 10 years from now, someone else will be.

Really I am proud to read a very good article from respected Muslim sister. I am not Muslim. But In my country Muslims are there. But as for as education concerned , Muslim women forced to stop Education (both poor and rich) once they attain teenage. If to protect , as you said Hi jab is very good to protect the exposure. Will you please understand that unless women educated (not literates), the Muslim Society can not come out of such crises. Because Mother's part to grow the children is major than Fathers. Why the Muslim community denounces Modern Education or not giving priority to Modern Education. But forcing them to Madarasa which I hope not giving much priority to Modern Education and no way is going to feed them or doing much for survival on their own legs.

Any how I have great respect on your religion . But your community should expose to Modern Education

Anyone can create a religion, and put a whole lot of perfect ways to live and gain followers, that is how Islam was created. Like I said it Answers is not the place to defend Islam, go to the media and tell the ones that are killing people to stop, then we will feel like you are helping, then we will see that indeed there are good muslims.

I agree with you on your question/questions I am an american muslim. I actually left the US because of the hatred I got from the other religons. I moved to a country where Islam is loved and people who follow it especially foreigners are treated with the utmost respect.

I think the media has a lot to do with the way people see Islam. All we see is how your people fight. Over and over again. You are portrayed as a miserable country on our T.V. screens. I for one do not judge all Muslims. I would love to have a Muslim friend so they could teach me the true ways of Islam.

Exactly. Surely muslim women will be honored above all other women on Earth before ALLAH. Muslim women do nothing to anyone. Yet western women worry about their looks and body too much and no one protects them. Muslim women do not go around like a piece of meat wearing revealing slutty clothes that teenager non muslim women wear. ALLAHU AKBAR!
