How come when you run, your whole body gets tired, you start breathing hard and all, instead of just your legs getting tired? Isn't that weird?

Because running is a cardiovascular exercise. You are working your heart and respiratory system. Your legs will feel it in a day or too also. It's a great workout, I have been a runner for 30 years, nothing like it in the whole world.

bcoz when u run ur whole body is working hard to provide all the resourcses like blood which has oxygen and food particles, so when u run hard, u require more oxygen to provide energy to legs and other parts which r working for ur legs, so u breathe hard and ur heartbeat increases to supply blood to body parts working in strain for ur legs, so u get tired

Running uses up oxygen in your body and as you oxygen is a vital need of the body's organs especially your brain so the more you run, the more you begin to use up oxygen so your body compensates by making you breath hard to get more oxygen into your body.

Because you don't just use your legs when you run. You use your upper body as well (& your heart will start beating faster/harder, which could be part of the reason you get short of breath)

Cuz your upper body is the one that has to do all the work......pump the extra blood......taking in more oxygen......
and your legs are just muscle.....they feel it a lot later than your actual organs!
