The Casio and Panasonic have similar ratings from dpreview.
I personally would recommend the Panasonic. I have the Panasonic dmc-tz1 and really like it.
The following url is a side by side comparison of the four cameras. You might want to compare the features, read the reviews and decide for yourself.
Good clicking!

I saw a Panasonc FZ5, but not a Z5. Hope this was right.

Between the Casio, Nikon and Canon, there is no comparision. Get the Canon. If I got the right Panasonic model, that looks like a better camera, but it costs a lot more. I'm thinking I must be wrong, because it just doesn't belong in this group. Buy the Canon and you will be happy.

I bought a Olympus d 510 zoom from circut city about 5 years ago and it's still kicking butt, with no problems what so ever. I'm sure it's out dated but if I bought another it would be Oly.

Why would you buy from a store like best buy, when you can get it cheaper on line? Try www.newegg.com---www.beach camera.com. both are good sites with good reps. Of these cameras Canon is the best.

If i were you i would go to Circuit City. I paid $400. dollars for a camcorder at Best Buys and a year later the lense went out. all they could tell me was the parts were no longer available. SURE, sell him ANOTHER ONE. so Best Buys can kiss my ***.

Go on the Net, pull up a review for each camera and then decide on which one best suits your needs.
