How can God follow a moral code when he alone determines what is moral and immoral.
It would be best to describe him as amoral.
I wonder though, if he decides what is good and evil, and its his choice alone, does that mean he can declare ANYTHING good or evil? Like let's say he could declare that torturing toddlers is morally good, or that saving someone's life while they are drowning is evil. Gosh, it seems that if God determines what is good and evil, then good and evil are really meaningless terms to describe obedience or disobedience.
If God decides what is moral, morality doesn't exist.

You miss their point, Jim.....whatever the biblegod does is, BY DEFINITION, moral....that's why he's able to get away with putting Job through the wringer without any of the fundies batting an eye -- never mind that you'd think that, if it had been another HUMAN doing those things to Job, you'd consider him an unconscionable monster...

I don't have a god. But my husband gets god-like treatment. I have burned many small delicious animals for his pleasure, as well as knelt and bowed repeatedly. LOL
I fear his wrath if my worship does not please him. His moral code is strange and mysterious, to be sure. So, I have no room for any other "gods" in my life. Except maybe Johnny Depp, or someone else with the initials JD. mwaa

if you follow the bible then you will understand that god(the imaginary) has no morals, as by the story of noah he stated that he would kill every living thing on the planet that breathed.

4God is patient, God is kind. He does not envy, He does not boast, He is not proud. 5He is not rude, He is not self-seeking, He is not easily angered, He keeps no record of wrongs. 6God does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8God never fails.
