Henna comes from India, it is a natural dye, they use it on their hands (brides) and their hair.
You have to get the mix just right and use it straightaway, henna dries up very quickly and as soon as you apply it to your hair it will dry on, when 3hrs are up rinse out as normal.
Warning - dont leave it on your hands for to long - it will stain them.

Hi there! A lot of friends and my family members have tried Henna hair dye. If you are using the natural Henna then it is always better to leave it on for as long as you can and it only conditions your hair better. 3 hours is almost appropriate if not less for good conditioned hair. The longer you leave this on the darker the colour will get. The colour varies from Henna to Henna. You can always add black coffee or black tea to intensify the colour. Sometimes some people can get temporary dandruff, which will go away in just a few washes with a good dandruff shampoo. If your hair's dark or henna coloured, I suggest using henna not only for colouring but also to condition your hair once in a while. Hope the product you have got is 100 percent natural! good luck!

Hi,
Depends on which color you are using. If you are using a red, black or auburn the longer you leave it on the hair the stronger the color will be. You can even leave it overnight if you want to. It wont damage your hair. I did a red one a month ago and i left it for about 4 hours. It came out lovely. Don't forget to cover your hair up with wrapping film or something. It is really hard work to wash it out though. Been doing Henna for years and its a good way to color your hair without damaging it.

Best to put it on then wrap your hair in clingfilm to stop it from falling off your hair while it works, agree with others though do not leave on for 3 hours 45 mins ok but depends on how strong a colour you want the longer it is on the more orange it will be

i've jst rinsed my hair out!!! i used henna today and i left it on for 3hrs! i always use it and it looks really nice especially of your hair is brown. it takes forever to wash out though. and if you not happy with the colour just wait until the second time you wash it after a few days it should show more. your hair does get dry sometimes but it looks nice and full and should actually leave it nice and soft.

I heard that despite it being a natural product, henna actually causes damage to your hair if you use it for a long period of time, and that chemical dyes are in reality better for your hair.

you should never use henna hair color. If you ever go to a salon to get your hair done and it's on ur hair, you can end up w/ extremely unpredictable results. Most professional color will say never to put over henna.

Depends on the color of you hair - if you have light hair you haior will be very orange. Also you shouldn't leave it on for so long cause you scalp will catch the color too. Henna workd better on dark hair. Some people add a lil teas for color too.
Good Luck!
