I was reading some question and I am shocked by the way people just HATE immigrant, I could understant if you have a problem with the illegal ones but why do you hate every single person that came legally? those illegal people have it really hard already they are not all bad, some of them work for us while we sleep and are in a really bad situation its not like they recieve benefits they are too scare to do that even though they are eligible for it, now lots of Americans that can work recieve walfare, food stamps and wic. And I dont get why people think they steal jobs from americans, some of them dont even have an education to get a descent job and they will not get hired because they dont have any papers, how could they steal the job of an american that went to school? I dont know much about immigration thats why Im asking this question I cant be with or against immigration since I dont know all the facts that you know

Im not insulting anybody by asking this, I just want to know why some people hate them. Not just mexicans, but every person that comes to this country legally or not. I have been a legal resident since I was 5 and never thought somebody would just look at me different because I wasnt born here, I have been working and paying taxes sine I turned 18 and dont get any help from the government not even insurance I pay my own so what am I doing wrong?

People use the immigration debate to mask their prejudice. In the light, these people wouldn't care if Mexicans were illegal or not, they'd still have a problem with them. It's called prejudiced and this is just a way for people with prejudices against certain races to forward their cause.

I don't think you understand that the immigrants are the ones with prejudice and hatred do you really think that he's stupid immigrants or nice kind decent people?? Most immigrants are very racist towards nonwhite people and they come from Third World countries where they promote this racism and they bring it to AmericA. Many immigrants are far more arrogant than many Americans themselves so no I'm immigrants or not these innocent kind people coming from other countries many or nasty nasty terrible people who display more hatred and racism than any American.

I dont hate Immigrants. The illegals that come here and think they can take over america and when you are on here you will see a lot of them. How can you like someone who makes fun of america and what it stands for but want to live here? They stand in the streets of america and demand rights that they dont have or deserve. Most of the Immigrants that came here went about it the right way they didnt break any laws. A lot of these illegal immigrants steal ssn from the dead or children. They rape and rob to get what they want. So there for they take what isnt theirs to take. yes they take american jobs even the shiity jobs. There is always an american that would do the job. educated or not. would you do what ever it took to feed and cloth your child i sure in the hell would. They rent property and let 50 other illegals move in with them and they dont even pay the rent they owe and then they destroy the proterty. They hang mexican flags out side their windows on american soil, they dont even take the time to hang an american flag above it. Thats a disgrace to the american soilders that fault for our rights.NO NOT ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS DO THIS..but alot of them do. once they cross our borders they are concedered a criminal. Me and hubby own a roofing and remodeling company we cant compete with the illegals prices. we bid a house for say $4000 and a illegal immigrant will turn around and give a bid for $700 we cant pay the insurance and taxs and wages on that. I deal with this every day. So yes the illegal immigrants are taking jobs that the american worker wants..

I don't feel hate for any immigrant,legal or illegal.That's just morally wrong and reprehensible .
legal immigrants are becoming American citizens,that's wonderful .I certainly praise them for doing it the lawful correct way.Some of our best citizens have legally immigrated here from many country's.
But the illegal immigrant circumvents the laws he/she thinks they just don't apply to them.its an arrogant attitude that seems to persist in some ,not all,illegals,that they deserve special treatment and are above the laws of this country.it can not be something that legal Americans will accept.Yes we all have broken a law at one time or another,we speed,we ignore a stop sign,we do ignorant unlawful things.And we know that if we get caught we will be arrested and have to go to court for our punishment.Because we broke a law.But the illegal immigrant doesn't think that should apply to him.Well face it ,it does apply and its time to face up to the laws .

Most of us do NOT hate immigrants. Why doesn't anyone realize that? What we despise is the ILLEGALS. It is that simple.
Unfortunately, the illegals DO steal some of the jobs that were created for legal Americans. They do this by working for less than an American would, and for longer hours than are allowed. I don't think that most people here want to convey that they hate anyone in particular, but emotions run high when this topic comes around. It is difficult to stay unemotional, even for me!!, when people are saying it should be OK for millions of people to come here illegally and stay, just because they had it crappy in their home country.

I've never encountered someone personally who hated all immigrants, even the ones who came here legally.
I have noticed how some people get tired of saying "illegal immigrants," though, so they either say "illegals" or "immigrants," but they're still referring to people who entered this country illegally.

My mother is a legal immigrant who came here in 1947. I tried to get the miserable unhappy ***** deported years later to no avail. Immigrants and people who keep moving around the country are unstable, unfir people who fit in nowhere. Stay home where you know whatis going on and do not come here any whine and try to change things

Probably because they are ignorant of the people they are 'hating'. Usually when people get to acually get to know each other they realise that no matter where we come from we are ALL human beings and basically want the same things - to live and to have a family so that our children will cotinue our genes.

People don't hate immigrants. They hate illegals. It doesn't matter what legal Americans get, Illegals need to go back to their own country. They aren't entitled to anything in this country any more than we are in their country.

I have no problem with the legal ones. I have many friends that are immigrants. When you come in illegally and i have to pay for you then i get mad!
