Sorry lindsayjz. I am not very good with my grammar but if it's really that important, what i meant was, why can't people accept each others differences and be civil towards our fellow human beings

the only way for this to work is for all of us to have the same thoughts, religion, & ideals - essentially we'd all need to unthinking grey blobs.

It is because all people have different believes and values. When we sit in judgement of others with our values and believes no one can measure up. I believe that if we all took the central belief of treating each other the way we want to be treated we all could get along. This does not mean that someone is right or wrong they just are.

This a question i ask myself time and time again. The problem is down to each individual having diffiernt opinion which gets in the way of their good nature. This results in cofilicts.
I for one do not let anythink get in the way i think.
lets hope things can change for the better!

Because Human Nature is a very powerful thing! It would be impossible for all people to "get on" there are to many different religions and beliefs. Plus i ask you who could "actually" get on with a chelsea fan !!!!!

Human nature I guess, but I agree. The world would be so much better if we all learned to get along. Never give up hoping though!

who knows....childhood psychological mess ups leading to inferiority complexes, paranoia or jealousy brought about by living in a materialistic world,, teensge angst... society letting people down, lack of stability - there are loads of reasons why people dislike each other. If anyone treats me badly, i se it is their proble, not mine, and take pity on them that they behave so poorly

It's a chemistry. You don't know why but you find a person irritating and annoying even if she isn't saying anything or even if this person is being really nice to you. Sad but true.

i don't know - i wish I could get on with my sister but just when i think i'm succeeding..grr!
and then i think if i can't get on with my own sister, how can i get on with x, y, z?
i think the answer is that we don't take responsibility for how we feel. we blame - its easier. but the truth is, no-one can MAKE us feel anything, they can only help trigger feelings. Its up to us to change how we feel by changing our thoughts.
easier said than done? you bet!
