Yes, my neighbor, he loves white everything in his house to cars are white, he bought a black car once, and had to return it after 3 days because it showed dirt. When he comes home from work he washes his car almost everyday. He paints his interior of the house white every year because he claims it's starting to yellow, even had his kitchen cabinets replaced because they looked alittle grayish and not white enough. He has white stone around his landscaping, and now that it is fall and the leaves are falling he vacuums up the leaves daily on the rocks so they don't stain. He had a child 4 yrs ago, and follows her around with wipes. Its so bizarre, why can't these people relax?
By the way everything is white from the kitchen table, to bedroom sets, couches, flooring etc. The real Mr. Clean!

Me.
It's fairly benign and doesn't interfere much with my day to day living. In fact, I think it may even help me a bit in my career (I am an interior designer) I don't want to sound like Pollyanna, but you just have to deal with the gifts and the challenges that God has given you the best you can. I just chose to channel my "quirks" into my career and I think it works well for me. I have a job where I can be creative, but my OCD tendencies keep me grounded and focused.
Now if I could just go to bed without checking the alarm clock 10 times! lol

I have an OCD! I really can't relax if my living room is what i would call untidy even if to other people eyes its perfectly fine i can become iritated by the smallest thing out of position. It really is uncomfortable but i am trying eradicate it from my life as much as i can by attempting to ignore the things that upset or annoy me, its hard but it is working slowly

Apparently we're all a little obsessive compulsive! my partners brother has suffered for years. Washing hands in bleach, he has to make two cups of tea at a time, and they have to be literally to the brim! Lots of other little quirks, but he just gets on with it!

Yeah my mum has a little of it....there is a bin in the living room but she wont let anyone put anything in it...if you do she will empty it into the bin the the kitchen...ive said to her why bother having a bin in the living room if your just going to empty it every 5 mins, but she thinks it will smell.
She will also ask you to move something say you bag, but then she will ask you again a minute later.....she will probally ask you to move is about 8 times in 1 minute before you move it.

Yes my daughter has a slight case of it and I used to have a manager with it. She would walk into my office and straighten up my desk while I was working. I had my "in/out" shelves on my desk at an angle and she would put them straight everyday. It drove me crazy. She wanted our desks clean & neat every evening before we left from work.
He house is spotless and she has 4 girls and just about everything is white...
I have a mild form of it I wash my hands a lot and wipe everything down at home & my desk with Lysol wipes...I hate the germs...

I do and it manifests in different ways each time I conquer one. I used to have to vacuum the floors in one room about 8 times a day. I had to line everything up to exact measurements, and other strange things. Lots of pills and counseling and currently my problem is mowing the yard and shopping for groceries. Talk about stocking up - you should only see. Good luck to you and may your problem be like mine and only affect this type of stupid stuff.

Yes...but what people believe to be OCD is sometimes exaggerated (spelling!)....they (the person of whom I speak has medication to reduce the effects of the disorder.
