Hi, I don't have a Daewoo set, I have a Toshiba, but in my experience they all tend to work the same way...

If you have freeview or sky go to a channel where you *want* the picture in 16:9 - probably the BBC or ITV would be your best bet - try and find a channel that is broadcasting a widescreen signal.

Then switch your TV to 16:9.

Then find a channel, such as UK Gold or Living TV (or any other "less popular" channels) which *doesn't* have a widescreen signal, ie a programme that is supposed to be normal 4:3.

Now switch your TV to 4:3.

Now repeat your actions. This is a process that is unoriginally called "training the television". When complete, turn off your television and turn it back on again.

Most flat panels will now switch automatically between the two settings when receiving the appropriate signal. ie. when you're on a widescreen channel it switches to 16:9, but when on a "normal" channel it switches to 4:3. If it doesn't, try once more because it doesn't always work first time. Train the tv and then turn the power off and on again.

Finally if this doesn't work, I'm afraid that you will have to refer to Daewoo about it - if nobody can help you here, I suggest you try their customer services helpline.

You should find that the remote control has a ZOOM button. Press this until you get the result you want.
