What's going on? Bush said the war was over on May 1st 2003. Why did Bush lie?

Bush was obviously wrong. He didn't have a clue and still doesn't. As long as this war is going on we will loose our loved ones. My daughter is in the Army.

Mark Bingham....I'd like to know how those of us that disagree with Erudite are cowards when most of us are currently serving or have served. The reason we disagree isn't because he protests or objects to what we do. We disagree because he's a bold face liar that has to fabricate stories to spew his hatred.
You've been quick to come to his defense. I'm guessing you're either Erudite under disguise or a "buddy" of his. We won't discuss what kind of buddy that might be. Anyways, I guess one liar must defend another liar. After all, you state in this reply "Look we got cheaper gas prices. HOORAY for Bush!" Yet, in another question, you reply that you're Canadian. If you're Canadian, our gas prices don't affect you. And just so you know a REAL FACT, this war is not about oil. No oil has left Iraq for the U.S. Even prior to the war, a very small percentage of the oil we use ever came from there. I'm sure a FACT is too much for you to handle though. You're probably still trying to figure out if you're Canadian or an American benefiting from lower gas prices.
I only see 2 "cowards" here. One is Erudite and the other is Mark Bingham. Neither has the guts to get out from behind their puter and face the real world. They know the real men would hand them their a**es on a platter if they tried any of this stuff face to face. So hide, sooner or later, you'll be found!!

freedom comes at a price that why we ask for volunteers we are not like turkey were any one over 18 has to do 4 years mandatory
as far as bush lieing that most politicians do.I did dessert storm and we thought it was going to be over then and we are still there doing a job we should have done then

That is they way it goes with war. If the war was over on May 1st 2003 why aren't are troops home and why are more being deployed to Iraq. I don't belive that Mr Bush is up right with the American people.

Once again... you cannot grasp reality
The WAR is OVER... the peacekeeping mission that is in place in order to let Iraq set up their own rule, military force, and other security forces is what is going on... Much like we have done one every victorious war on foreign soil... See Korea, Germany, Japan, etc....

The biggest cause of death for members of the military are unrelated to combat. Things like car accidents kill more than enemy combatants.
