my daughter is 2 1/2 and is dry during the day, the only problem i have is she will only poo in her nappy. she has started to give herself a bad belly when we go out coz if she doesnt have a nappy on she wont go!!
we have tried everything from rewards/praise to letting her see we all use the toliet for that !!
shes my 4th child and i never had this with any of the others so im really stuck!!!! i dont want to put her back in nappies when we go out coz shes done so well.
we didnt get her to be dry during the day she didnt like wetting in nappies anymore so it was sort of her decision!!!

I would get her fave. doll and put it on a tupperware in a few minutes when she is not looking toss in a tootsie roll and start praising the doll. I know it sounds gay but it might work. I know it worked with my cousin. Make the tupperware clear so she can see it and then show her.

She's young yet, get her the pull-ups for going out. She could cause herself harm if she's out for a long time and won't go because of no diaper.

Each child is different. Make sure no one told her anything scary. Maybe she heard someone say that public or outside toilets have germs and that frightened her. You never know what will set a child off. They can get some strange notions.

Like my younger brother made an joke about snakes in the toilet while you poop. And my nephew heard it, he wasn't supposed to be even in the room, but he was. The boy was terrified to go to the bathroom for days. His little stomach got distended and everything before we figured out what happened.

If you pay really close attention to her, you can tell when she is just about to let go....

...then you rip off her nappy and sit her on the potty...

...then you read her a good book and distract her attention, until he poo's it all out...

...then you reward her!

I was just going to suggest pull ups too (more like underwear, she can get them off and on, and yet still okay for 'accidents'.)

But OMG the tupperware thing KILLED me!!! (Still giggling...)
