What medication works best for you is strictly up to your body. Some people have a high pain tolerance and can get by on lower dosages, less strong medications while others have low or no pain tolerance and require the "bigger guns". Not all medications work the same way on everyone.

If you're experiencing a fast heart rate, call your doctor and discontinue the medication until you've had a chance to speak with him/her. You should not be experiencing that. If Lorcet was works well for you, request a refill on that. Ask your physician if they would like the Percocet returned to them for a count of how many were used or for proper disposal.

Good luck!
