You have to determine what is causing the cough....is it a cold? allergies? GERD? medication reaction? For colds and allergies (post nasal drip) try sucking an Altoids, that gets the 'crud' off your throat which will cut down on coughing. Some medications do cause cough as a side effect, go over your list of meds with your pharmasist. Acid reflux (GERD) can also cause a nagging little cough...talk to your Dr and they will prob try you on 'the purple pill'. Hope this helps.

do you own a vaporizer? if you do, put it on the whole night and put salt. if not buy one, it's not expensive. if you don't want to spend then boil water and when vapor appears breath through you nose and mouth. try to drink plenty of water also.
