I believe they shouldn't, but they're going to. This is a big mistake and they know it. It's going to be diasaster because the true christians that don't except Catholic teachings will be killed like the Bible says in Rev.13:15.

VATICAN CITY - Pope Benedict XVI pressed ahead with his appeals for a unified church Thursday as he a celebrated a Mass in St. Peter's Basilica attended by a delegation of Orthodox Christians. Benedict has made uniting all Christians and healing the 1,000-year-old rift with the Orthodox a primal goal of his papacy.

Rev.17:9-10 "AND HERE IS THE MIND WHICH HAS WISDOM. THE SEVEN HEADS ARE SEVEN MOUNTAINS, ON WHICH THE WOMAN SITTETH.(Catholic Church sits on 7 hills in Rome)
AND THERE ARE SEVEN KINGS: FIVE ARE FALLEN, AND ONE IS,(Italy and Germany ending in the Hitler-Mussolini Axis 1870-1945AD) AND THE OTHER IS NOT YET COME; AND WHEN HE COMETH, HE MUST CONTINUE A SHORT SPACE."

REV.17:10 was fulfilled on television when the Papacy said "that Benedict would be Pope for a short time."

REALLY HIS IMAGE IS GOING TO COME ALIVE! WHEN HE PUTS CHURCH AND STATE TOGETHER. HERE'S JUST A PIECE OF IT IN--"POPE'S DREAM OF HEALING CHRISTIAN RIFT STILL A DISTANT GLIMMER" IN ENTERPRISE RECORD DATED: SUNDAY JUNE 12, 2005.

These 10 (Rev.17:12-13)rulers will be giving their support to a coming union of church and state in Europe, which will aspire to world dominance. After an interlude of apparent peace and prosperity, the system will plunge the whole world into a nightmare(World War 3). That's why Jesus has to come back; he has to save the world from total destruction. Matthew 24:21,22,29,30.

I am Greek Catholic and I think reunification with the Orthodox is likely. Theologically they must unite, neither is really theologically free to do otherwise, however, they must find a way in charity to make that unity real and not merely symbolic nor surface unity. A union of hearts is far more difficult than a union of minds. That part is trivially simple.

Not going to happen. If they did, they'd just fight over who was the better Catholic and who was right. I'm Roman Catholic, and I'll be honest that I don't know the difference between Roman and Greek Catholics, but I think it might be we have the pope and they rejected the pope (have no clue, only thing I could think of). But, no, we'll never unite, which is kinda silly.

If they unite, the Catholics will absorb the Eastern Orthodox like Bounty paper towels absorb spills. When that happens, then Satan will have complete reign over all the churches.

The will of God is that ALL Christians once again unite within the one true church He founded for them. God is more concerned about those who abandoned His Church completely and created manmade churches of their own that are not apostolic or sacramental, and which teach doctrines contrary to the doctrines of His own Church, than He is over the schism of the Eastern Church.

I grew up Roman Catholic and I was active in The Orthodox Church in South East Alabama and I strongly believe both Churches should re-unite again because they are both legitimate Churches. Maybe if they re-unite, other Christian Communities will do likewise. I hope the Anglican-Episcopal Church should do the same. Christians need to be united.
