I went on low carb diet 11 days ago & cannot tell a difference in weight or inches. Has anyone ever gone on this diet & had no success? I've been on it 2 times before & got tremendous results but for some reason it won't work this time. I've recently started working at home 5 days/wk so maybe it's because I'm not as active! Or it could be because I'm getting older & my metabolism isn't what it use to be!! Anyway, I don't need anyone to tell me that it's bad for you...I wasn't going to do it long-term, I just needed to get about 10-15 lbs off. Any advice??

You need exercise along with your diet. Changing your eating habits is a great start but the thing that will kick it into high gear is some aerobic or muscular conditioning. Then you'll see that weight fly off.

Get off the low carb diet, and start eating properly. Your body becomes accustomed to what you do. Change things. Get up and move.

Low carb diets have been known to cause health problems. Your body requires healthy carbs for energy. That is what your body uses for your muscles.

Recommendation: Get 45 percent to 65 percent of your daily calories — at least 130 grams a day — from carbohydrates. Emphasize complex carbohydrates, especially from whole grains and beans, and nutrient-rich fruits and milk. Limit sugars from candy and other sweets.

I'm not a big fan of the low carb diet since carbs are where you get your energy from. The best diet is to eat healthy and exercise. Just burn more calories than you put in and you will loose weight.

maybe the diet isnt for u anymore. try the south beach diet there is a book on it that has the recipes and what you can & cannot eat.alls it is is changing your eating habits. there are 3 phases on it that limit the foods you eat and i think in the 1st phase you cant have bread and stuff. weigh yourself every week to make sure you are hitting ur target point.but after you hit ur target point eat normal but not in in huge sizes that way you stay the same weight.

Spot Exercising. Anyone seeking to lose weight must expect that the results may not be as cosmetically satisfying as one would wish. Spot exercising, training particular areas of the body, is ineffective in reducing fat in specific locations because exercise draws on fat stores throughout the body.
