My question is........... When you give a gift to someone its free so how can you have a FREE GIFT? its free regardless

Yes its free to the person accepting it as a gift
but I agree that it cannot be a free gift as it must have been paid for in the first place
or
that you have to pay for something in the first place to receive the 'free gift'.

it isn't actually free even though you may not have paid for it. the person giving you the gift has paid for it so that ddoesnt make it free
