The issue isn't what God gives or doesn't give to certain people, but what we do with the blessings (material or otherwise) that He gives us--these things aren't ours in the first place, just resources God is giving us to use for His glory. The problem is that far too many people hoard things for themselves and think that it belongs to them. God can take anything away from someone in a heartbeat and give it to someone else.
Does this mean that all people have access to the same resources? No, but God can use those people who have nothing to humble those who have a lot, if those with a lot will realize how void their lives are with all the toys but nothing of God Himself.
It's not an exact correlation, but the first link below was an answer I posted recently about our responsibility to use wisely what God has given us--but unfortunately so many of us don't. The second link is a blog entry I wrote last year about giving up presents at Christmas and giving to the poor instead.

Dont get me wrong I believe in a God but I also believe that everyone has choices in their life and some people make the wrong choices then have to live with the consequences. Some people have missed the oportunity to be guided by loved ones in their life. God has the power of a lot of things but he doesn't make people live in trailer parks.

God does not give to us according to the worlds views but according to our needs. It is His choice to give as He wishes but one must also understand that He knows best.Personally I am not sure that the person in the mansion is better off. I'd rather live in the trailer park with my family than in a cold mansion full of bitterness and emptiness.

God gives us all talents, gifts and abilites,
But the more god gives you the more God expects of you
Luke 12:48.
We as christians have a duty to bless those who are less fortunate and realize that all we have is not just for us but to help others.
I am not certain why some people are rich and others struggle so hard. My husband and I do not have a lot in the way of material things but we are truly happy and at peace,
God wants us to bless and minister to others.

Hmmm good question. We live in a trailer park but are happy anyway! It's clean, just the right size for us, and our kids love to live in the mountains. Between my organist job and my husband's warehouse job, we have just enough to get by and that's A-OK with us.

may not have anything to do with GOD at all. might have more to do with " the luck of the draw. " there is nothing to stop a person from a poor family to make it to the top. also may have to do with karma and learning experiences. if one was wealthy and obnoxious in a previous life they might return as a poor person to learn a valuable lesson. if a person was a poor person they might be returned to see what it would be like to be wealthy. each could be a test to see how the karma of each would react in different circumstances.

Remember, to those who are given much, much is expected, and we are not to worry about storing up treasures on earth. We are to be concerned with building our treasures in heaven. It is given according to our needs, not our wants and desires, and some may not know how to handle a lot. We have to learn to be satisfied with what we have, not what we want. Some if made rich would not know God. Good luck and God bless

Some got all, some got none ! I ain't got enough for a Cinnamon Bun !
Damn the bad luck ! People always told me I was poor because I did not work , did not go to school, and smoked too much dope. I am happy to hear that it is not my fault at all. God did this to me. What a relief !

See it in terms of opportunities for personal growth. Did the bible not say "whoever is least amongst you is the greatest". Those who face hardship have the greatest opportunity to grow and learn spiritual knowledge.
