I am trying to find a recipe to make apple cobbler from scratch, since I don't have any access to some Cake mixes needed in some other recipies I looked up. Also, if you could give the measurments in grams, and Celsius, as oposed to cups and Farenheit.

Apple Cobbler

Cook Time: 45 Minutes Ready In: 1 Hour 10 Minutes
Yields: 12 servings
"A treasured family recipe, this cobbler is a delicious old-fashioned dessert. It travels well and slices nicely, so it's perfect for picnics or tailgate parties. We like apples, but you can use your favorite fruit. -Rita Reifenstein, Evans City, Pennsylvania"
INGREDIENTS:
375 g all-purpose flour
200 g sugar, divided
7 g baking powder
3 g salt
115 g butter or margarine
2 eggs
15 ml vanilla extract
45 ml milk
1000 g thinly sliced peeled baking apples
15 g quick-cooking tapioca

TOPPING:
15 ml milk
3 g sugar
0.6 g ground cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a bowl, combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. In another bowl, lightly beat eggs and vanilla; add to crumb mixture. With a fork, gently mix in milk to moisten. Stir until dough forms a ball. Press half of the dough into the bottom of a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Chill the remaining dough. Toss apples with tapioca, cinnamon and remaining sugar; place over dough in pan. On a lightly floured surface, roll chilled dough to fit top of pan. Place over apples. Brush with milk. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden.

French Apple Cobbler

Filling:
5 cups peeled and sliced apples
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon soft butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup water

Mix all ingredients except butter. Put into greased 9 X 9 pan. Dot apples with
butter.

Batter:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons soft butter
1 egg, beaten

Combine ingredients, beating until smooth. Drop batter in 9 portions on apples. Batter will spread during baking. Bake in 375 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.

French Apple Cobbler Recipe

Apple Filling:
5 cups tart apples, peeled, sliced
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon butter, softened

Topping:
1/2 cup flour, sifted
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 egg, slightly beaten

In a medium bowl, combine apples, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon salt, vanilla and water. Turn into a lightly buttered 9-inch square pan. Dot apples with 1 tablespoon butter.
Combine all topping ingredients. Beat with wooden spoon until batter is smooth. Drop batter in 9 portions, over the apples, spacing evenly. Batter will spread during baking. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 375° or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. Serve warm with cream or ice cream. Serves 6 to 8.
