When I began trying to lose weight, the most I ever lost in a week was 7 pounds. Normally not healthy, but kept checking with the doctor and he said it was fine.
I started by cutting out everything I drink that was not plain water. Soda can make you hold a lot of water. And by drinking nothing but water it helps to flush out your body. Reduce the amount you eat when you are eating. And instead of 3 big meals, eat 6 small ones. That way your body doesn't feel hungry. And they do need to be healthy meals. No mac & cheese is not the best food for a diet, but if you can alter the way you make it to keep from adding a lot of fat to it you can make it healthier, for example most call for a lot of butter/margarine when mixing it up. Either lower the amount of it u add or cut it out completely and use low/no fat milk. If you can't get other meat besides burger, at least cook it healthy. Drain all fat, and if u crumble it you can rinse under hot water to remove a lot of the fat that has cooked out of it.
Exercise, and exercise a lot. The more energy you expend, the easier it will be to lose the fat.
The thing here is, you have to burn more energy than you are feeding your body. That way your body has to burn the fat. Fat is stored energy in your body, plain and simple.
Walking is great but, you need to make sure it is not a casual 30 minute walk. Work up a sweat, get that heart pumping. Start slow, for a warm up, for about 5 minutes, then speed walk as long as you can with slow downs and speed ups throughout the walk, and make sure you, take time to cool down properly towards the end.
I wish you the best of luck, but 9 pounds is not a feasible goal in a week.

my first answer would of course be, there's nothing that should make you feel like you have to look a certain way or weigh a certain amount...on the other hand, it kinda sounds like your main need is more just developing better eating habits.
the biggest thing with trying to lose weight is: everything is okay, within moderation and eating smaller more frequent meals. so there is a way to eat healthfully with those foods....for instance, with the mac and cheese, don't add the butter/margarine and just add the milk. also, not adding the entire cheese packet, but i do this more because i like mac and cheese, but i don't like how cheesy tasting it gets with the entire packet...so this is potentially more of a "how willing are you to sacrifice taste" issue.
make sure you stay hydrated really well, this will help a lot. as well, as eating every 3-4 hours, smaller more frequent meals that don't totally fill you up but keep you satisfied will help a lot. with this point, basically just try not to wait until you actually feel hungry before you eat something. for example: eat breakfast (bowl of cereal maybe) and then in a few hours maybe have a granola bar or something small. then have lunch and a snack in between again and finally dinner. make sure you give yourself 2 hours between your last meal and when you go to bed.
i hope this helps, it's kind of a crash course on "better eating habits." i wish you the best of luck with this. just please be sure to be careful not to fall into any kind of disordered eating.

whoa very difficult choice here:
because most of the things you have is turned in to sugar when your body digests it (ie: the mac and cheese and the lipton noodles are processed white flour items that doesn't get broken down more easily by your body and gets stored as fat).
but by running at least 30min a day, you're stoking your metabolism to burn more calories, but the biggest thing you need to do is replace it with better foods like whole wheat bread (not bleached wheat flour, check the back of the ingredients; it'll say whole wheat.) fruits like strawberries, apples and oranges, water melons, a lot of vegetables (even the frozen kind, which is best actually because the nutrients are locked in when the veggies are frozen.
celery, leafy greens like spinach or mustard/collard greens, is good to help keeping the fiber in your system
also you need stuff like oatmeal (quaker instant oatmeal is a good substitute)
it is feasable, but it's gonna be harder to do, you also need to keep drinking water, at least 8 glasses a day.
if you can; you need to replace the burgers with leaner meats, like 80% lean beef or turkey, fish or chicken.
another thing is losing nine pounds in a week is dangerous to your body, ideally you should only lose 1-2 lbs a week to give your body time to adjust.
and dairy products (unless you're lactose intolerant, then you'll have to get some of the kinds of milk and such that's been processed differently, for better digestion) are also good: stuff like skim milk, low or nonfat yogurt, eggs. at least 2-3 servings a day.
just start small and slowly work your way through it, and buy these things little by little and you'll get the weight off, but it's gonna take time to do it.
another thing you wanna try to do is eat 4-6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism stoked to burn the calories better

I will try to keep it simple. Your metabolism is basically the rate at which your body burns calories to create energy. So the faster your metabolism, the faster you burn calories and the easier it is to lose unwanted weight. To boost your metabolism naturally you just need to eat the right foods.
You can sit down and literally eat a 1,000-calorie dinner and yet be absolutely starving just a few hours later and the reason is simple: Because your body didnt get what it needed in those 1,000 calories so it sends signals to your brain telling you to ingest more calories and thus, the late-night cravings. That means that the surest way to end those late-night cravings and keep your weight loss goals on track is to eat a more balanced, nutritious diet that actually gives your body what it needs.
It's VERY EASY to lose weight if you eat the right foods. Check out Dr. Charles Livingston's video here: http://www.sexyjese.com - it will blow your mind.

Unfortunately you can't safely lose 9 pounds in a week.
Dump the mac and cheese, noodles, and burgers for salads with fat-free low calorie dressing. But forget iceberg lettuce, it has no nutritional value; go with romaine instead. Add carrots, tomatoes, spinach, green peppers, etc.
Running will help. You need to keep your metabolism up and keep burning calories.
BTW, unless you've been drinking an unusually large amount of water and are taking meds that cause water retention, it isn't "water weight".

This is what worked for me. I did 200 minutes of cardio every week. I did planks and other abs exercises on alternate days. On training days, I did 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then weight training, followed by more cardio.
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
The good news is that for a lot of women, the waistline is the first to go!
Good luck!

If you've been eating poorly, you've probably gained fat, not water weight.
Unhealthy option: Fast for the whole week. that should drop you down that much. You'll gain it right back when you start eating again.
Healthy option: Accept that at the most you can safely lose 2-4 lbs a week, cut back your calories, exercise regularly but not excessively.

My advice would be to gather the money you have, and treat yourself to a UNIVERSAL CONTOUR WRAP. This involves being wrapped in mud soaked bandages, all over your body, out in to a suit and left for an hour. The end result is mammoth inch loss - not weight loss. The bandages work my drawing out all the toxins and wastage that gathers in our bodies.
I did three in a row over 3 months and i dropped a complete dress size. They guarantee the inch loss for a 30 days providing you don't put on weight.
It costs around £60.
Good luck.
